
It Started With A Travel Nightmare
Simplify Living didn't begin with investors or a business plan. It began with a story we kept hearing from travellers everywhere – passports, cards and cash stolen in seconds, turning the trip of a lifetime into stressful paperwork and lost memories.
We looked at the "anti-theft" gear already on the market. Flimsy zippers, fake locks, and RFID claims that didn't hold up the moment they were tested.
Travellers deserved better. So we set out to build it.

Designing the Perfect Anti-Theft Bag
We spent months reading forums, speaking with seasoned travellers, and studying how pickpockets operate – slip, snip, swipe, all in seconds.
Then we went to the manufacturers. The first ones told us security features were too expensive. That travellers cared more about looks than locks. We disagreed.
So we did it ourselves. From a Brisbane bedroom, we sketched, prototyped, and tested zippers obsessively, improving every detail until it finally felt right.

That first bag wasn’t about building a business. It was about giving travellers the confidence to see the world without losing what mattered most along the way.

From humble beginnings, Simplify Living has grown into a global brand with a 12,500 sqm Brisbane warehouse and a team of 37 passionate people.
